Job Description

Job duties include:

  • Involve in logical and physical design of the database applications and identifying sources and targets and analyzing source data for data modeling
  •  Creating software design specifications addressing the business requirements and utilizing the appropriate specifications and templates
  •  Participates in the requirement specification process for new software functionality to ensure those definitions of new functionality are clearly defined and understood
  • Involved in defining the middle layer architecture; Build and load the data from Data warehousing tables by using PL/SQL procedures and packages
  •  Works with the business analysts and team members with respect to software capabilities, functionality and design options
  • Develops packages, procedures, functions, PLSQL jobs to support database management and database applications using Oracle, PLSQL, SQL, Shell Scripts and various other software tools
  •  Tuning of old database objects for faster execution time and ensures designs are consistent with development standards and aligned with industry guidelines and best practices
  •  Performing initial impact analysis for providing L0 sizing for new enhancements
  •  Develop PL/SQL procedures to load the data into middle layer tables and identify performance Bottle necks. Using Oracle utilities (SQL Loader & External Tables) to load the data
  •  Participated in the Code Merging Program for Tupelo and Findlay plants
  •  Performing Unit testing, peer testing, writing and reviewing test cases etc. for IUT and SIT phases
  • Preparations for Business special reports generated during Monthly and Quarterly EOD batches
  •  Working and ensuring UAT issues closure and getting sign-off for implementation
  •  Created UNIX shell scripts to transfer feed file from one application server to another applications server via SFTP and NDM
  •  Provide functional/technical Walk through on newly developed changes to Application Support team
  • Provides post-production support such as problem identification, data analysis, and or emergency change requests
  • Working on production Incident Tickets and Closing with-in SLA
  • Release Management - Prepare Release notes and verify release package
